Final essays in the second annual college and university student essay and blogging contest are now posted for the second phase of this competition: Blogging!
One of the goals of the student essay competition is to encourage students to creatively explore the benefits and challenges of the collaborative role citizen observers play in the collection and validation of Earth observations. The blogging portion of the competition will be judged.
The student essayists–competitors, who have already worked so hard–need everyone’s support to explore this year’s contest theme: ÛÏMaking Citizen Observations a Global VisionÛ.
So, please help our competitors by asking questions, offering your own perspective on the issues, and supporting a rich discussion. The competitors will be blogging with each other, but this is a great opportunity for Earthzine readers to be really engaged in an important discussion.
