Abstract: SatNet is an online interface connecting end users to NASA Earth Observing System (EOS) satellites and the satellite information they need in an efficient, intuitive manner. Currently, there is no single satellite data hub that provides users with a direct connection to the information they need. SatNet bridges this gap and facilitates the process for both novice users and experienced researchers. The goal of the project was to provide one site where users can easily connect to databases, satellite information, and step-by-step tutorials. SatNet provides access to information that can be used for a variety of real-world applications including disaster mitigation, resource management, city planning, and academia. The project was designed to expand to include information from future EOS missions and to be adaptable to meet the needs of its users.
