The powerful winds of Typhoon Fitow hit the south-east coast of China on Monday reaching speeds of 94mph, with state-run media reporting that at least two people have been killed. Water levels are expected to rise by as much as 90cm in coastal areas and economic damage is already an estimated 2bn yuan (£200m).
