EarthzineArticles, Earth Observation, GEO/GEOSS News, Original

The Group on Earth Observation, the international body charged with implementing the Global Earth Observation System of Systems, has issued a Call entitled “Earth Observations in Decision Support Projects” that seeks to identify projects that demonstrate the benefits of Earth observation applications to end users in developing countries, particularly in the fields of agriculture (including forests), energy, human health (including air quality) and water.
The GEO will not fund the proposals, but will work with finalists to secure funding and other support. Key deadlines are contained in the CFP, with the first deadline of June 4, 2009 for brief concept proposals.
